10 Twitter Tools – Part 2

January 27, 2009 in Twitter

Here are 10 Twitter Tools continued from last week’s post 10 Twitter Tools – Part 1.

1. Mr. Tweet

Mr. Tweet is your Personal Networking Assistant.

“Just follow Mr. Tweet and he’ll send you direct messages suggesting good people you’ve been missing out on, regularly update your stats, & recommend you.”

2. twitrratr

twittrratr is an opinion tracker on twitter.  This is pretty cool because you can get a feel for quick opinions on what folks are talking about on twitter.  For example, I entered the HP Mini and results showed 8% Positive, 90% Neutral, and 1% Negative.  Kinda cool.   :)

3. Twitad

Twitad is a way to sell advertising on your twitter background page.  Twitad’s tagline is:

“Twittad was formed to give Twitter users and advertisers the opportunity to meet for product placement and website promotion on a Twitter user’s profile.”

4. Magpie

Continuing in the twitter advertising space is Magpie.

“beamagpie – convert your tweets into bling-bling.”

Using Magpie, advertisers can use keywords that then get matched up with twitterers.  As a tweeter using Magpie, those tweets are announced using your account.  Everytime your twitter account is used, you get paid.

5. TweetStyle

TweetStyle is a place where you can browse twitter backgrounds and other resources as well as get customized backgrounds for your twitter home page.

6. TwitArt

And more twitter backgrounds with TwitArt.

“Get a custom designed, one-of-a-kind Twitter background, custome avatar or both.”

7. Twitterholic

Find out who are the top twitterholics based on followers and location.  Enter your twitter id and you’ll be shown where you rank as well as a link to your location and who ranks the highest on Twitter by followers.  Again, pretty cool.

8. Twitority

An alternative to the twitter search engine, twitority is an authority based twitter search.  That’s it.  As simple as it’s page says.

9. A Techie Tweet from Twitter

This one’s not so much something twitter specific other than a tweet.  A couple days ago I saw a tweet fly by from Antonio Lupetti of Woork.  He wrote a blog post about the Apple Mac Book Pro and comparing it to the HP Mini.  I want an HP Mini.

10. Twitter Article

The last twitter tool is an article titled How to Get Things Done with Twitter by Leo Babauta at Zen Habits.

Leo list ways ways to be productive with twitter including sending tweets to your to-do list, Google Calendar and ways to be accountable on twitter for your personal goals.  Excellent ideas and additional tools listed at the end of the article that will help make you more – productive.
