About
Welcome to Bill Bolmeier’s Blog. My name is Bill Bolmeier and this is my blog that I started in the fall of 2008. It’s my scratchpad to the web and I’m hoping you can benefit from it.
I’ve been working in the technology industry for over 20 years and I’ll be providing information about technology including web technologies, social media, internet marketing, operating systems including Windows, Linux and Mac, technology news and anything else I find helpful and interesting.
I have two daughters in their twenties and they’re nothing but trouble.
I have not set an editorial schedule for this blog but I’m shooting for 2-3 articles per week okay, I’m NOT writing everyday so I had to update my about page and my editorial schedule is falling into place, kind of. These articles will most likely be written on the weekends and trickled out automatically with the WordPress auto-scheduler feature during the “normal” American work week – Monday thru Friday. Article length will hover around 300-500 words.
Here’s a loose schedule of topics that I’ll follow, but waiver from when necessary.
Monday – Making Money Monday, Internet Marketing Monday
Tuesday – Technical Tuesday, Twitter Tuesday, Tools Tuesday
Wednesday – WordPress Wednesday, Web Apps Wednesday, Web Design Wednesday, Windows Wednesday, Writing Wednesday
Thursday/Friday – Whatever inspires me pertaining to these topics
Saturday/Sunday – Social Media including Social Networks, Social Bookmarking, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Security, SQL
Call for Writers
Do you want to start a blog but don’t know if you really want to? Well, if you’d like to get your feet wet, feel free to submit an idea or outline for an article pertaining to any of the above categories and I’d be more than happy to post it here. I reserve some editorial control.
Call for Jobs
During 2008 the jobless rate soared resulting in huge unemployement numbers and this pattern continues in 2009. I’ll be providing a jobs board here on my blog to at least offer another resource for the folks in my life who’ve been affected and anyone else who might benefit.
