Hi folks and welcome to my blog. This is my first blog post and I’m using a self-hosted WordPress blog. My domain name is billbolmeier.com and this blog is hosted on HostGator, a web hosting service.
I thought it would be a good idea to secure my own name as a domain name on the web so none of the other million Bill Bolmeiers out there get it first. 
Well, actually there’s not a whole lot of Bill Bolmeiers in the United States.
If you are a Bill Bolmeier and more specifically a William Bolmeier, and even more specifically a William Steven Bolmeier, please say hi and let me know where you’re from geographically and genealogically.
So that’s it for my first blog post. I have no editorial schedule or direction for this blog at this time. The purpose of setting this up is to simply make a web presence with my name – Bill Bolmeier.
