Abortion is Health Care. Abortion is between a woman/girl and her doctor, not your state governor or politician. Take the stigma out of abortion by discussing it and discovering the complexity and nuances of pregnancy. This page lists abortion resources for those who need abortion care and people who want to learn and support people who need or want an abortion.
Crisis Pregnancy Centers
First, DO NOT GO TO OR CONTACT A CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTER (CPC). They do NOT care about you and what you want. They are an anti-abortion group who will deceive you. Do your research on CPCs if you like, but the best advice is to go directly to Planned Parenthood for help.
In 2023, here are safe abortion pills that you can legally have sent to you via mail: https://aidaccess.org/ and https://www.plancpills.org/.
Read and follow Jessica Valenit’s blog, Abortion, Every Day, where she writes about abortion daily. Jessica is also on TikTok at https://www.tiktok.com/@auntiekilljoy and Twitter at https://twitter.com/jessicavalenti.
Here’s Planned Parenthood’s Bans Off Our Bodies website. Their national abortion rights campaign website. “It is led by abortion rights supporters in response to unrelenting political attacks on our basic right to control our own bodies, our lives, and our futures.”
To help take the stigma out of what an abortion looks like during early pregnancy, view this short YouTube video from the Maya network, which is a network of clinicians, activists, and patients who want to normalize abortion care, medically and culturally. If you can’t see the video below, here is the link: https://youtu.be/ibBjFkLiaGU
Reminder: Do not let conservatives disingenuously get by saying, “We just want to save the babies.” Pregnancy is much more complex and nuanced than that.
Message to Conservatives: In 2023, if you vote for Republican politicians who back abortion bans, you support the possible death of women and girls in your family and life.
