Here are telltale signs you are in a cult:
A CROSSROADS: You are at a crossroads in your life. You are lost. You’re going through a transition. You are miserable and isolated. And you desperately need belonging. You think, “None of these politicians ever serve us. They’re horrible. But this new guy Trump is different. He’s gonna be the one.”
THE SOFT SELL: You’re given a questionnaire. You’re asked if you’re happy. You’re invited to a meeting, a talk, or bible study, recruiters can work on you and invite you back.
THE ENEMY: The leader says, “There’s racism against white people. We are getting attacked at the border. There’s an invasion of illegal immigrants.” This is all trying to get you to buy in on what they’re selling because you need it. They want to shelter you from the outside world, from what you see, because the world is a terrible place.
PEER PRESSURE: They tell you, “Don’t listen to the media. Only watch Fox News and other news outlets like Fox. Fox News is the reality, the true news, and not that fake news.” They shelter you so they can indoctrinate you slowly.
They want you to abandon everything. Buy the leader’s trading cards, hats, t-shirts, and everything that he has for sale. Everyone else that doesn’t want to follow him is wrong. He tells you the Democrats hate you. Illegal immigrants are going to take your job. The LGBTQ+ community is going to do horrible things to your children. They want to burn books.
They are trying to separate you from all the other enemies out there. The democrats want to take your rights, your second amendment right, and our freedoms. And because of this, you deny your own reasoning. You start to rationalize it.
He doesn’t have to do anything, you do his job for him. He relies on peer pressure from other people like you. Let’s take the capital. Let’s fight. We won’t have anything that belongs to us if we don’t fight now. Meanwhile, the followers are all doing his bidding.
There are tens of millions of Americans who voted for Trump or some form of Trumpism and continue to do so.
A SOCIOPATHIC NARCISSIST: It’s all about serving the sociopath who wants it all to be about themselves and not about the people. They do nothing. They believe they are essential and not you. They could care less about you. But they want it to be known that without them you cannot succeed.
It’s all there. All the signs. Are you in a cult? It’s hard to leave a cult. You have to do the work to separate from a cult.
