Always remember the moveable middle when you’re hearing about extremist ideas, on-the-edge social media posts, and news that makes you feel hopeless.
The moveable middle are the people who can change things. People who are on the fence. People who haven’t had time to think about what’s going on because they’re too busy working and raising a family. People who can learn and gain insights in areas that are going to inspire them to change. Like we saw in Kansas. That’s BIG change.
Don’t give up hope. Take a break from the news, politics, etc. when you’re feeling discouraged, overwhelmed, or feel like giving up on your fellow human beings.
There are people out there, and there always will be, who are committed to damaging, nasty, toxic, ideas and actions. People who are committed to pushing fox news, trumpism, racism, hatred, sexism, fear, phobias, and more.
These people are hoping you quit. So don’t quit. Take a break.
Have hope! You don’t have to try and change people who will never change. There are those in the middle who can change.
