How To Stay Positive In A Stressful Time

A coffee cup that says see the good in an article about how to stay positive in stressful times.

Doom and gloom leave people with heaviness and despair. That’s something we battle every day. So, how do we stay positive during these times?

This is a time in history that is one of the most stressful moments that any human has lived through.

There are ongoing genocides in multiple countries that people in power don’t seem to want to end. There’s an existential climate crisis. We have an attack on not just democracy in America but democratic institutions worldwide. We have all of this hatred, division, and information coming at us constantly.

No human has been through a period just like this. We are in a uniquely stressful moment. How does anyone stay positive with everything that is going on?

We are incredibly aware of all the bad things happening at the moment.

We need to make a very deliberate effort to focus equal attention on the stuff that is going well. Then, we need to amplify it. It will help you stay positive and not be depressed all the time or without hope.

Nobody Knows About The Good Stuff

Many people don’t know about the great things that the Biden administration is doing. And that is a problem not just from a mental health perspective but from a political perspective.

We’ve got to get the word out about the good things happening. So our friends, family, and human beings here on earth can have some hope. So that people can understand that this administration and many others outside of it are doing incredible work.

We are making progress.

There’s a saying in the news industry; maybe you’ve heard it. When it bleeds, it leads. The truth is there’s a lot of truth to it. People will click on and amplify the upsetting stuff more. And that’s a problem.

What To Do With Good News

What we can all do is when you see a good news video and feel some relief from it, amplify it, engage in it, and spread the word.

There’s a lot of good news out there. When you find it, SHARE IT!

Because the more we share it, the more it will get created.

The more it gets created, the more hope people will have, and the more they’ll understand all the good stuff happening.

This is an easy action we can all take, not just for ourselves but for humanity and everyone. Everyone complains about Democrats having bad messaging, so be the good news messenger yourself.

That is the way we can all win.
