Immigration Plans: What Trump Wants To Do Now

In an article about immigration plans, this is a dark outside photo of a person walking down a path of trees with their head down.

Immigration plans. The New York Times wrote a terrifying article that is not getting much attention on what Donald Trump plans to do if reelected. So, let’s break it down and share it.

These are policies from Trump’s team to reporters. They include his previous draconian policies, and he wants to expand and toughen them up.

Trump’s Immigration Plans

  1. He’s promising to bring back his Muslim ban.
  2. He’s planning on scouring the country for unauthorized immigrants and deporting them by the millions.
  3. Prepare a form of removal that doesn’t require due process.
  4. Construct concentration camps to detain people while processing their cases. He wants to do this in Texas, where they’ll let him. Redirect money from the military budget to pay for this since he knows Congress won’t do it.
  5. Follow the Eisenhower model and carry out the largest deportation operation in American history, like the one in 1954 that targeted Mexican immigrants.

More Immigration Plans

  1. Cancel visas of foreign students who participate in anti-Israel or pro-Palestinian protests.
  2. U.S. consular officials abroad will receive instructions to expand ICE detention facilities.
  3. Screening of visa applicants to block people they consider to have undesirable attitudes.
  4. TPS recipients would have that status revoked. Kick out people allowed to live here for humanitarian reasons.
  5. End birthright citizenship.
  6. He will attempt again to end DACA.
  7. Bring Title 42 back, which was the COVID-era immigration policy that kept asylum seekers from coming into the country. Since he would no longer use COVID as his justification, Trump would use things like the flu, scabies, and RSV. He will not rule out bringing back family separation.

Economists see Trump’s immigration plans as a recipe for social and economic turmoil. Trump’s immigration advisor, Stephen Miller, who is a neo-Nazi, doesn’t see it that way.

Miller argues that mass deportation will be a labor market disruption. He thinks American workers would like this. He thinks there’d be higher wages and better benefits for workers to fill jobs.

Stephen Miller says that President Trump will do whatever it takes.

In other words, cruelty and chaos will be the law of the land.

This man will do whatever it takes to stamp our country with racism, xenophobia, hate, and division.

So we better do whatever it takes to make sure he doesn’t win.
