I love everything technology and its great potential. But, under capitalism, there’s also great fear of what could come of it.
Technology could improve our lives and make things safer and better for every person. But that’s not how certain technologies exist right now. There’s an ongoing concern about how it’s being used and how it could be used.
Here’s a list of books that cover the side of technology we should remain mindful of.
We are destroying our planet instead of using technology to benefit us.
The labor that we are performing is worthless. A third of people are wasting their days on email when none of this needs to happen.
This is happening because a couple thousand rich people are controlling society. And it’s dictating everything for everyone.
Something as simple as taking care of each other is now a for profit industry.
Having human connections is dictated on our ability to sell ads to each other.
We have degraded human relationships to push capitalism.
And a huge part of our labor force in the United States is pushing unhealthy foods.
We are incapable of making good changes for the whole of society because of profit motives.
Millions of lives are worse off because they were forced to return to work and protect the investments of corporations.
And the places that we live in and the transportation that we take are all worse off now than they have been.
And because people can’t imagine a better future, we think that this future we are living in is okay.
We are destroying our entertainment.
We are destroying the planet.
We are destroying our relationships.
We are destroying ourselves.
In order for the technology revolution to further expand the empire.
