On 12/1/22, Senators voted against seven paid sick days for the American rail workers.
We really need to focus on the fact that we have workers in this country, in the 21st century, that don’t have any sort of sick day and no sick pay. And it’s all done to benefit the owners of these companies that are making billions of dollars in profits.
When you turn on the mainstream media they’re all talking about if there’s a rail strike, it’ll cost 2 billion a day. They say, don’t you think that the workers should just suck it up because of the impact they’ll have on the economy?
NO! These workers are the reason that we have an economy. And if we don’t take care of the workers, the corporations can’t make any money without workers. So no, I don’t think that rail companies or those railroad workers should just suck it up for the next five years because if they don’t, then the companies will suffer and our economy will suffer right around the holidays. Absolutely not.
We gotta start taking care of workers in this country.
Workers make this country go. Whether it’s trains, truck drivers, construction workers, you name it, there are people out there that we need in this country working in order for this country to do what they do well.
We need our workers to get what they deserve, plain and simple.
I’m disappointed in the fact that we have Democrats and Republicans that were willing to put this thing up that has no sick days and say, you guys need to take this because we can’t afford a strike. right now.
STOP voting for Republicans!
