Public Library Book Bans: How To Stop Them

Now that they’re trying to conquer public school book bans nationwide, they’re moving on to public library book bans. Why not.

The latest tactic involves sending groups of people into public libraries, checking out as many LGBTQ books as possible, and not returning them. Ever. And also replacing those books with religious materials.

In what was considered an isolated incident in San Diego, public libraries in progressive areas are under attack in the latest culture war. And, even though we’re using the phrase culture wars, our civil rights are under attack.

In June 2023, just like in San Diego, two people entered the Ferndale, Michigan library, checked out all youth LGBTQ books, and refused to return them.

Hide The Pride Campaign

Public library book bans are labeled the “Hide The Pride” campaign. And, of course, they include the usual suspects and now officially labeled hate group, Moms for Liberty. It seems they’ve teamed up with a group known as CatholicVote.

They admit that they are a nationwide campaign. They are replacing the books that they’re taking with religious materials. Thankfully, the people in Ferndale and the surrounding areas are working to replace the books that these people stole within 14 hours.

So not only do we need to watch public libraries in all areas because they are trying to make them look like this, but we need to show them that what they are planning will not work.

Here’s how to disrupt their plan for your public library.

In an article about public library book bans, this image is of the website thebannedbookclub.info.

The Banned Book Club website makes sure every banned book becomes digitally available. You can check your area to see what books are banned in your state. And you can read the digital version for free.

While the digital versions are great, we still need to protect public libraries because not everybody has access to digital.

We need to make sure that everybody knows about this. If you live in a progressive area, do not fall into that false sense of security because progressives are who they’re coming after.

We, the people, will protect the libraries. We will protect free speech. We will not allow censorship. Because that is what liberty is.

If you are a Christian and think not all Christians or my church is like this, you must be one of the loudest voices in the room speaking out against this. Silence is compliance.
