Reporting Separation of Church and State Violations

To report churches violating the separation of church and state or other fraud, email Tax-Exempt Organization Complaint form 13909PDF to eoclass@irs.gov.

This IRS form needs to be filed in case you find a church that is engaged in the political process. At this point, the separation of church and state is no longer present.

When you look closely, there are two check boxes that are related to a church’s influence on a political process, lobbying or campaigning.

It’s everyone’s duty, that if you find a church violating the separation between church and state, you file this form to the IRS for review, whatever may come of it.

It’s important to note that there is such a difference that needs to be pointed out. And when a church crosses over, it’s our duty to make that known. It might not end up with no response, but it’s worth the shot.
