Republican women, what is the GOP doing for you?
Death. Birth Control. Incest and Rape.
Not only have they taken away your reproductive rights, but they’re also making it punishable by death. And they’re coming after your birth control too. They’re forcing your daughters and granddaughters, even in the case of incest or rape, to birth their child. What if it’s your daughter?
They’re banning your access to medications that are used to treat recurrent miscarriages. And you know how difficult it is to have a miscarriage.
In states where there’s an abortion ban, women are nearly three times more likely to die.
You have to stand up for your lives, and for your rights as they are quickly being taken away.
No-Fault Divorce
Now Republicans are setting their sights on no-fault divorce laws. This means that you as a woman would have to prove in a court of law that there is a compelling reason for you to leave your spouse, such as abuse or infidelity.
Imagine a woman who’s been domestically abused by her husband having to go to court and face him on that charge.
Taking Away Your Children
They’re taking away children from loving homes, from loving mothers. And you know how Mama Bears are. They’ll do anything they can to protect their children, and yet those children can be taken away.
The Republican Party will NOT even protect you in your own home. Allowing those individuals who are under domestic violence restraining orders access to guns places women’s lives at risk.
Distraction
The Republican Party is taking away your rights while getting you riled up, hoping that you won’t pay attention, and distracting you with school rights and parental rights because they know it’s a very effective message.
But the teachers and the books and the drag shows, it’s just a distraction. It’s just false outrage. Teachers and members of the LGBTQ+ community, they’re not the ones who are putting your lives at risk. They’re not the danger.
Trust Your Instincts
Moms, trust your instincts. Stop listening to what the Republicans are telling you, just to get your vote.
You need to do this for your children and your grandchildren. Because your mothers, your grandmothers, and your great-grandmothers fought hard for the rights that you have today.
Don’t let the GOP take them away.
