Above is a portion of a 2023 bill that South Carolina republicans are debating about the death penalty for women having an abortion.
This is how you read bills that republican lawmakers are trying to pass.
When they say Abortion Bans. It means that republicans want to control women. They don’t care about the mother. They don’t care about the baby either. Republicans are “Forced Birthers”.
Regarding the image at the top of this post, it’s a headline from 2/15/23, “South Carolina republicans are debating death penalty for abortion.” The sponsors of this bill want to charge women with murder and sentence them to the death penalty. There are no allowable exceptions. If a woman is dying and has an abortion, they can claim self-defense in court.
It’s called the South Carolina Prenatal Equal Protection Act of 2023.
This law wants to define a person to include an unborn child at any stage of development and to ensure that if they are a victim of homicide, that’s abortion, they are afforded equal protection under the homicide laws of the state of South Carolina.
South Carolina is a death penalty state.
This also means that people who vote for republicans agree that the women and girls in their lives, whether democrat or republican, can be put to death if they have an abortion.
When they say Book Bans. It means republicans teach a white-washed history and not all history. They want to keep lying to our children and oppress the people they want to oppress. Our BIPOC brothers and sisters.
When they say Culture Wars. It means, white racial backlash and christian nationalist takeovers.
When they say Right to Work. This means you have the right to work for less.
When they say School Choice. This means that schools get to choose their students. And private schools get public money. This will degrade public schools and in time shut public schools down. Democracy is built on public education. And democracy is what republicans don’t want.
When they say Parental Rights. This means your rights are stripped away as a parent to choose curriculum and books.
When they say Religious Freedom. This means republican lawmakers are free to impose their religion on you.
And when I say republicans, that includes their white christian evangelical nationalists billionaires.
Yes, the money is so good for republicans that they have no problem destroying the American people and selling the soul of America.

- Name the republican lawmakers who sponsor these bills. Share their names and photo on social media sites. For example, instead of me saying in this post, “South Carolina republicans”, I should be calling their names out individually with photos wherever I can post them. We need to become familiar with who these people are. Also, if you find out a group that financially supports the sponsors of a bill, share who the leader of that group is with a photo on social media sites. Then work your way down the company ladder who has an influence on these horrendous bills.
