Young Voters: The Power Is Yours To Make Big Changes

Turnup.us is an organization that is by youth for youth. It’s about registering and organizing young voters.

We already know that four million young people turn 18 each year. That’s four million additional young voters going into the electorate yearly. But did you know that next year, for the first time, 44% of the electorate will be Gen Z and millennials?

44% are rapidly becoming the largest voting bloc. Do you know what that means? That’s power.

Considering the horrendous Republican legislation around the country that affects everyone, I imagine the increase in young voters will be quite significant.

Once you register a young person to vote, their chances of voting are high. 75% of registered young voters vote. On the Turnup website, you can find out how to register to vote and check your voter registration.

So the trick is getting them registered, and that’s what Turnup does, and it does it with young people.

They’ve got young people’s internships. They have a massive digital program. They’re on Snapchat. They’re on Instagram and doing registration drives on both high school and college campuses, and you can help if you’re young.

Download their app, and you can get started. On the app, you’ll find opportunities to help register young voters. Politicians listen to the people who can vote them out of office for a long time.

Voting has been about older white people. Now it’s about young people.
