Church: Young People Are Leaving. How To Get Them Back.

Photo of a sad young person in an article about church and why young people are leaving church.

Dear Church Goers of America,

Here are four things that will help churches grow and get younger people from leaving the church in droves as they are now:

#1: Remove radical right-wing Republican politics from the church. Stop supporting people like Donald Trump and his ilk.

#2: Remove sexual assault by pastors and others from the church.

#3: Remove religion as a get-rich-quick scheme.

#4: Remove the following from the church:

  • Racism – The belief that one race is superior to another and that this belief leads to discrimination and prejudice.
  • Homophobia – The fear, dislike, or prejudice against gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people.

Those are the four biggest reasons the youth are leaving the church. Those are the things that, for some reason, the boomers are hanging on to.

Do you think they’ll follow those four steps? Do you think pastors and church-goers will? I say hell no, not soon enough. But I have hope for the younger generations.

Don’t Become Part Of This

When you see something like this (video below) and many other videos and articles like this, you must stop attending a church like this immediately. And stop giving your money (tithing) to them. As the preacher says in the video, “GET OUT!” This is one of many reasons why the youth are leaving the church.

This person created a like-minded network of pastors around the world. His hate is spreading. He supports the un-aliving members of the LGBTQ+ community. He preaches antisemitic sermons. His church is considered a hate group.

Do not be complicit like the people in this video.
