What is it about conservative beliefs that make some people so angry?
Conservatives and Childbirth
Conservatives seem to frame childbirth in a way like this, “Why is it so bad that babies are born?”. When it’s framed like that, that is the problem. That is an oversimplification of the topic of abortion. Childbirth is more complicated and nuanced than that.
Conservatives tend to believe that the baby’s life is more important than the person who is carrying that baby. There’s the whole issue of when a zygote becomes a human person.
There’s an amount of disingenuousness about framing childbirth this way. The conservative is not engaging with the topic honestly or seriously.
Conservatives and Vaccines
Conservatives seem to frame the COVID pandemic like this, “Humans should have the right to choose not to participate in a scientific experiment.” By framing it this way, you’re saying that conservatives should have the right not to participate in getting a vaccine. This also implies that people on the left believe that you should not have the right to opt out of getting a vaccine. That it should be mandatory and it should be forced on you.
What’s more accurate is we were in the middle of a global health emergency that was very scary, and we were looking for solutions and new information every day. And a lot of people across the world were trying to the best of their abilities to minimize the harm done and minimize casualties to humans by taking certain measures, whether that was sheltering in place and working from home and leaving our homes minimally, whether that was social distancing in public and washing our hands more often than we normally would, whether that was wearing masks or whether that was getting vaccinated.
Throughout the various stages of the pandemic, conservatives weren’t down to play team ball at all. They couldn’t be bothered to do any of the things that were mentioned to try to help the greater good.
The pandemic was a common enemy that threatened every country and everyone on Earth. Conservatives took a thing that should have unified everyone everywhere and somehow made it political for no good reason. There were no good arguments from conservatives. The global medical science was overwhelming.
Conservatives and Hypersexualized Materials
Conservatives seem to frame it like this, “Is it that we think that we should keep hypersexualized materials and surgeries away from juveniles and keep that to the adults?” So this is also disingenuous framing. It’s bad faith framing. That’s not what this issue is. That’s not what the disagreement here is.
This issue, if you are being honest, is that conservatives don’t believe that gay and trans people are good for society and don’t believe that because of their religion. That’s the honest, conservative Christian argument. It’s not because people in the LGBTQ+ community and their advocates are grooming kids. They’re not. There’s no proof of that.
There is plenty of proof, though, that people in conservative circles and people in Christian churches are grooming and abusing children.
Every other tactic that conservatives use when approaching this issue is just a bad faith disingenuous attempt to mask the fact that they have a religious objection to people wanting to exist and people on the left. People on the left don’t think that there is anything inherently immoral or unethical about people existing. We acknowledge the reality that people do exist.
We acknowledge the reality that children exist, and we believe it is in the best interest of the social health of not only children, but children everywhere and people everywhere, to acknowledge the reality of people and to live in harmony and peace and love with them.
Conservatives and Jesus
People don’t care that conservatives believe in Jesus. Nobody does except other conservatives, maybe. A lot of people do however wish conservatives acted a lot more like Jesus.
Conservatives and Biology
Conservatives don’t want to know about biology. I’m sure conservatives subscribe to the conservative Christian belief that there are two genders and only two genders and that that is an immutable biological reality right out of the gate. Conservatives are scientifically wrong on this.
There are way more than two ways that humans present biologically, anatomically, and chromosomally. No mental gymnastics are required to understand this, just a basic willingness to learn new information.
Conservatives and Sex Trafficking
No one thinks conservatives are not against child sex trafficking. The way conservatives frame the topic means that conservatives think leftists and liberals are for child sex trafficking. Again, this is disingenuous and simply wrong.
Again, if we were to keep score on which political ideology is more guilty of sex crimes against children, it’s conservative Christianity in a landslide. It’s not even close.
