Stand Up For Women’s Rights
Abortion is a winning issue for Democrats.
Solid Red Ohio, adding the right to an abortion to their constitution is a big win. However, after that win on 11/7/23, Republicans are refusing the results. See below about keeping the corruption message going.
Abortion was also the main issue that flipped a Supreme Court seat in Pennsylvania. It also won the governorship in Kentucky and gave both state houses to the Democrats in Virginia.
The Freedom To Choose
The freedom to choose also exposed another significant message. In Virginia and Kentucky, candidates ran on the anti-woke and anti-trans agenda that won Yongkin’s election in 2021. That message was completely deflated on November 7th, 2023.
If the right wants to stir up culture wars, Democrats should parade them around in it. Their opposition to individual liberty should be dragged on stage and framed like the freedom to choose.
Moms For Liberty
Reframe the Moms for Liberty movement as a big government attack on your rights as a parent. Democrats should be saying I support giving parents the right to choose what is best for their family.
The question for Republicans should be, “Do you support removing a parent’s right to choose what’s best for their family? And do you help give a rapist more parental rights than your daughter?
We are for family rights and freedom to choose for everyone. This is what should be a part of Democrats new messaging.
Corruption
Republicans celebrating that they barely got a win in Mississippi shows that political corruption may also be a corrosive message for them come 2024. No sensible person wants to support corruption or be aligned with people who lack the sense to oppose it.
This exact aversion to corruption drove Moderates away from Hillary Clinton in 2016. Corruption has been Republicans’ go-to deflection for decades, but corruption isn’t their friend right now.
Trump’s 91 felonies for defrauding America should be tacked onto everything the right says about corruption. Any mention of corruption from Republicans about Democrats, the Democrats should always shoot back using Trump’s felonies.
No MAGA Messaging
Democrats new messaging shouldn’t focus on MAGA. It’s a waste of time. They’re extreme, and the point is to frame them that way.
They oppose your liberty and your right to choose what’s best for your family, and they support corruption. Nothing they stand for is unifying.
If you’re a leftist, remember you have winning ideas. We need to accept that it’s moderates that win elections.
More than anything, moderates want stability for their families and community unity.
That is the promise of America. The left working with moderates to achieve that goal will turn those winning ideas into election victories.
