One: Start by reading the actual teachings of Jesus in the Bible, not Paul. Paul is not Jesus.
Two: After reading the teachings of Jesus, then live your life according to those teachings.
Three: Worry about the log in your own eye, put down your stone, and don’t ridicule and insult people.
Four: Keep Christianity out of government. The words Christian and Christianity have no place in politics and are being used by republicans and their white Christian evangelical nationalists to hide their actions, that are hurting people.
Five: Stop bringing politicians to the pulpit. It isn’t biblical and it’s not constitutional.
The Bible has been used for centuries to justify war, slavery, racism, misogyny, bigotry, and homophobia to name a few.
Since our republican lawmakers and their white Christian evangelical donors are becoming more and more extreme, they will continue to weaponize the Bible against us.
