Ranking States By Their Anti-Trans Risk

As I was reading the Erin In The Morning newsletter, it reminded me of The Green Book by Victor Green.

The Green Book, aka the “Negro Motorist Green Book”, was a guide created in 1936 to help black travelers. It listed safe resources to keep them from running into difficulties while traveling.

Because of the horrible anti-trans bills republicans are passing in various states, Erin provides a list of the safest to the most dangerous states based on anti-trans legislation. Erin also has color-coded maps she updates regularly in her newsletter site.

Here are the states that are the Most Protective States and The Worst States as of today, Monday, 4/17/2023. For other lists and maps that show Low-Risk States, Moderate Risk States, and High-Risk States, visit Erin’s newsletter.

There is a need for some kind of large mutual aid organization that can protect families stuck in dangerous states to help relocate them. Staying and fighting in some of these states is becoming riskier.

This is what republican politicians and their white evangelical christian nationalist backers have caused.
