A Harsh Revelation: The Devaluing Of Human Life

In an article about the devaluing of human life, this is a photo of a round brick tunnel moving from dark to light.

The devaluing of human life. A political leader recently said that he sees his children in the bombing of other children. I’m paraphrasing here, but you get the point.

Think about that, though. It doesn’t sound that good. This political leader is supporting a government that is bombing children. This political leader has conjured up the image of his children to defend a genocide of other people’s children.

If the political leader is lying, at least he believes that his children are the only children in the world who don’t deserve to be bombed.

If the political leader is not lying, then there are no children in the world he would not be willing to bomb, including his own.

It’s a bit harsh.

America: The Devaluing Of Human Life

We have a government that refuses to take the necessary steps to stop bullets from flying into the bodies of American children.

We have a government that does not value the lives of its civilians. The same government we’re asking to value other country’s civilian life.

We need to shift our global community in a direction where we stop putting so much power into the hands of institutions.

Institutions have gone out of their way to devalue human life for political or economic gain that helps only a handful of people.

There needs to be a rewiring of our collective consciousness to remember what it is to value human life. There needs to be meaningful policy and accountability that people deserve rights and humanitarian aid.

We need to recognize that we are all equal. We must de-center and de-throne those in power who have proven time and time again that they do not care about human life.

If you see your children in the images of the children being pulled from the rubble, how could you continue to support the bombing?
